With the hustle and bustle of today’s life Self-Care is an important habit to develop, Just as important as a reminder to eat. We have to rewind, slow down and refuel. In doing this we become happier and easier to give to others.

Life can do this to us, work, relationships, children, activities…. it all takes a piece of us and reduce a bit of our glow.
Therefore we need to find a way to spend some “me time” with ourself.
- Go for a Jog
- Start a blog
Just to name a few things that come to my mind.
As a mom, fulltime Employee, business owner a wife and a blogger I know all to well the necessity of “metime” and only of lately have I decided to truly embrace it.
I have dedicated much of my life to doing things I love, and a lot of that love included the love of making others happy, better known as “people pleasing” .
Though I enjoyed joy giving, I also felt that saying no was somewhat mean and harsh and very unnecessary!
What damage was I doing to myself.
Below I share a few ways I have learned to prioritize myself and give myself a little more “me time”

If you take a look at the woMan in the mirror who/what do you see? is there anything you may like to adjust and change to make him/her a bit happier? heck a lot more happier? If so…no message could have been any clearer

But in all honesty we have to start with ourselves, our goals and our dreams. Find ourself and show up as him or her.
Go first and in full speed ahead then bring others with you.

Self-care can really improve your quality of life. I hear so often “I don’t have time for self-care” but the truth is, if you make time for self-care you’ll see an improvement in every other area of your life so it’s well worth making the time. The most obvious benefit is that it will help you to feel relaxed and refreshed. Having that time to recharge is really important and will have a positive effect on your home and work life.
By making time to put yourself first regularly you allow yourself to feel happier. Being in a better mood will mean your relationships with family, friends, and colleagues will improve. It’s a known fact that if you’re feeling overwhelmed and stressed you’re more likely to snap at others, feel agitated and argumentative, and this will improve the quality of your relationships. Studies have shown that regular self-care can decrease stress, overwhelm. and the likelihood of burnout.
So now that you know why you need to start making self-care a priority let’s move on to how you can practice self-care.
